T'was the Day Before Tim's 12 Tags

Been reading about all the excitement and buzz about the annual 12 Tags of Christmas by Tim Holtz. Can you believe this will be the 5th year? It gets bigger every year. Looks like there may be lots of new and interactive features for 2011. Here is poem that is reposted from 2009:

T'was the night before Tim's Tags of Christmas
When all through the Web
Every stamper was stirring in wake of this fun event!
With Distress Inks and Blending Tools ready to go,
Just a wondering which stamps Tim Holtz will show.
With #8 Tags and the Must Have Craft Sheet
awaiting Day 1,
Every stamper in town is getting anxious for some
Tim Holtz Christmas fun.
So Stamp away, stamp away, stamp away all,
For Tim Holtz Tags of Christmas
will keep you from the busy mall.

You never know what Tim will use to create his seasonal tags. Here are some basic supplies you might want to have on hand in preparation to stamp along with Tim and his 12 Tags of Christmas:

  • Craft Sheet
  • Distress Inks
  • Distress Stains
  • Blending Tools
  • Glossy Accents
  • Distress Stickles
  • Alcohol Inks
  • Crackle Paint, especially Rock Candy.
  • Paint Dabbers
  • Perfect Pearls & Perfect Pearls Mist
  • idea-ology embellishments & Paper Stash
  • Grungepaper & Core'dinations Cardstock
  • Alterations Dies
  • Your favorite Tim Holtz Stamps
  • And some tags to practice and create some artful tags

The tag pictured is one of my favorites from the Day 10 of the 2009 12 Days of Christmas.

Get your friends together to pool your supplies and resources. Make a stamp date to enjoy some holiday cheer with friends during the 12 Tags of Christmas hosted by Tim Holtz.

Here's a coupon code to enjoy during a variety of 12 Days of Christmas events: madabout12. This coupon code (min $10 purchase) will be good until December 31st. You can use it as many times as you need between now and the end of the year to shop at eclectic Paperie.

Since that is 3 in the morning here-I'll have to be content with keeping up with Mario on twitter.
